Mr. Allan Adam is originally from the Fond du Lac Denesuline nation and now resides in Napatak Subdivision south of La Ronge. Allan’s work history spans over four decades beginning as a forest fire fighter in the Uranium City area. Mr. Adam has many skills and he believes in working hard to achieve the goals one sets out. He has established a recruitment company called SasMahikan Services Inc., a company that seeks out joint ventures to place Aboriginal workers in the future. Mr. Adam’s personal work history includes having worked as a band manager trainee in the 1970’s and later moving into communications with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in La Ronge and Yellowknife. He eventually moved into the Dene language area and focused his attention to translations and interpretation. Mr. Adam was also the first Dene Vice Chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations from 1994 to 1997 and Chief of his band in 2005. He is a Dene language instructor for the NORTEP- NORPAC program in La Ronge and has instructed in the program for many years.
