FNUniv Students are required to follow the procedures outlined by the University of Regina

Winter 2022 Term Vaccination Protocols  

A reminder to all FNUniv Students of the Regina, Saskatoon and Northern Campus, you are mandated by the University of Regina to declare your proof of vaccination by December 1, 2021. Students who have submitted their proof of double vaccination during the Fall term and received confirmation of a successful declaration are not required to resubmit.

FNUniv Students must declare their status by accessing their account on UR Self-Service.

  • If, for any reason, you are unable to complete the Declaration, please contact Ask.Us@uregina.ca.

Whether or not you plan to be on campus for any reason during the Winter term, you must complete the Vaccination Declaration through the University of Regina. You will not be allowed on any campus until the Declaration is received. It is your responsibility to check UR Self-Service.


Rapid Antigen Testing

The procedure will be similar to Fall 2021. Students who are not fully vaccinated or choose not to disclose their vaccination status will be required to undergo regular, rapid antigen testing and receive ongoing negative test results to attend any campus in person.

Students who are not fully vaccinated or choose not to disclose their vaccination status at any of the three campus locations will be required to undergo regular rapid antigen testing, three times per week on their own time, at their own expense and upload the results in UR Self-Service.

Non-compliance with the University of Regina’s mandate will result in consequences. We understand that there could be other barriers in place. We are here to help you attain your educational goals and will do our best to work with you.

An urgent reminder to all students to continue to check their URegina email account. It is your responsibility to check your URegina email daily. You can also have your URegina email account forwarded to your personal email. 


Sign up for your MySaskHealthRecord Account as soon as possible. eHealth Sask. Saskatchewan residents no longer need a PIN to sign up for an eHealth account.

  • Provides access to your COVID-19 immunization record. Required as proof of vaccination.

Out-of-Province Students: Your vaccination records can be accessed through your local health authority website. 

International Students: Please visit International Student FAQs on the University of Regina website for further information.


RETURNING TO CAMPUS

All Campus Locations are OPEN! However, you must wear a mask when on campus, in all public areas of each campus, such as:

  • Libraries
  • Classrooms
  • Hallways
  • Regina Campus First Nations Veterans Memorial Tipi 
  • Common areas at all three campuses

Guide to Understanding the Class Schedule

The Guide to Understanding the Class Schedule will help you interpret the Winter 2022 class schedule. Please note that the examples included in the Guide are snapshots of what you will see in the Visual Schedule Builder system. If you are using UR Self-Service to search for courses, you will see the same information as in the examples but in a different format.

Student Success Services – Support

Student Success Services staff are available for virtual appointments only. Please contact an Administrative Assistant at 306.790.5950 ext. 7501 or at 306.790.5950 ext. 3127 if you would like to leave a message for a Recruiter, an Academic Advisor, a Retention Specialist or a Student Success Navigator. If you choose to leave a message, our administrative staff will follow up during regular work hours, Monday – Friday.

Please be sure to include the following in your email:

  • Your name, student number and if you are a New, or Continuing student.
  • The campus attending: Regina, Saskatoon, Northern Campus (PA), or Community-based program.
  • A phone number where you can be reached to confirm your appointment.
  • A brief message of your request. Our administrative staff will follow up during regular work hours, Monday – Friday.

The Student Lounge, Regina Campus, is closed until further notice.

Student events such as orientation, success seminars and workshops, and collaborative events (among campuses and with U of R) will be remote (via Zoom, Facebook, etc.).

Registered Winter 2022 students will have access to the SSS URCourses to find additional information on the writing clinic, wellness counselling availability and retention seminars and workshops.

Pipe Ceremonies will continue to be offered monthly at each campus. These ceremonies will follow all Saskatchewan Health Authority guidelines. Campus Elders’ virtual access (phone, Zoom video-conferencing) will be arranged by appointment by the Elders’ helpers.


Campus Entrance and Exits

Regina Campus:

  • East & West side doors will be open for entry and exit.
  • North entrance is designated for parents/guardians and children of the pamināwasowin Child Care Centre ONLY.
  • In case of emergency, all doors are accessible for exit.

Saskatoon Campus:

  • Enter and Exit through Southeast doors (B) and continue to 2nd Floor Campus.
  • If you are visiting the Library, use the Southeast door, continue through the main hallway door and exit on the secondary hallway door (marked).

Northern Campus:

  • If entering from Central Avenue, use the Main Entrance.
  • If entering from Parkade, head south to Mall Entrance (Pharmacy stairwell) and enter at the Main entrance (Central Avenue).
  • Exit through the main entrance.

Online Booking System

We encourage students to use the Online Booking System for the computer labs and workstations.

The online booking system for the Computer and Library at each campus are monitored separately.

Please read the following Terms & Conditions – Access and Services prior to booking your study time.

All students will be required to:

  • Book an appointment allowing access for two (2) hours scheduled throughout each weekday.
  • Masks are Mandatory. Please wear yours. All students at each FNUniv campus that utilize this service will be required to wear masks throughout the Winter 2022 term.
  • Agree to the Terms & Conditions that the FNUniv requests from all visitors in the Winter 2022 term, which include social distancing and other safety measures on each campus.

Appointment Schedule (2-hour time-frame) – Monday to Friday

  • 8:30am – 10:30am
  • 11:00am – 1:00pm
  • 1:30pm – 3:30pm

Workstations and Entry/Exit – All Campus locations

  • Regina Campus computer lab will be relocated to Room 2008 (formerly the Medicine Room) on the 2nd Floor East.
    • Students can enter and exit through the East or West side doors.
  • The Saskatoon library will have 8 workstations.
    • Students will enter through the main hallway door and exit on the secondary hallway door (subject to change).
  • The Northern Campus computer lab and library are in the basement, with 18 workstations in total (subject to change).
    • Computer lab – 4 workstations;
    • Library – 6 workstations;
    • A second, temporary lab is established in classroom B12 with 8 workstations.
    • Students will gain access by the stairway and exit through the secondary stairway – the elevator will be available on strict conditions.

Cleaning Procedures:

Thorough cleansing of all surfaces will be done throughout the day.

Student ID Card

New students, including Off-Campus, must have a URegina student ID card. Click here to apply.

Replacement card: if returning students need a replacement, follow instructions on the link for payment.


Zoom for Students

For students who may be new to the FNUniv Zoom videoconferencing method, we have a Student Guide that will walk you through accessing the virtual classroom or take a few minutes to watch the video tutorial.

Laptop Loan Program

FNUniv continues to offer the program for the Winter 2022 term. Students must meet specific requirements and conditions. Students must indicate which campus they are attending and where they want to pick up the laptop.

Outdoor Events: Planning for any outdoor event on any campus location will continue. Attendees must maintain social distancing and wear a mask.
