We are currently seeking a Benefits Representative for a two-year temporary term.

About the team
The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation Life & Health Services team provides support to teachers and their eligible family members in relation to their coverage for health, prescription drug, and vision benefits; in addition to administering the Optional Life Insurance Plan (Portaplan).

What you’ll do
The Benefits Representative serves as a primary point of contact, delivering prompt and professional support to the members of Portaplan and The Members’ Health Plan. This role administers and maintains group benefit coverage for members and their dependents, collaborates closely with third party benefit providers, and contributes to the development of clear and effective benefit communication materials.

What you’ll bring
• A one-year certificate or diploma from a recognized business college, plus 2-3 years of benefits administration experience, preferably in group benefit administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Working knowledge of group benefit programs and their administration.
• Proven effective member service, interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Demonstrated superior word processing, Excel and computer skills.
• Analytical skills and mature judgement.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Information accuracy, completeness and confidentiality in work.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and handle a high volume of work.
• Resourcefulness in handling new situations and problems.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are enrolled in or have completed a Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation.

• A competitive salary range of $53,079.67 – $69,007.40.
