Indigenous Social Work hosted culture camps throughout the summer of 2025; cohorts from the Northern, Saskatoon, and Regina Campuses came together for an unforgettable week of learning, laughter, and personal growth.
Throughout the camp, attendees engaged in cultural teachings, shared stories, and built meaningful connections that will last a lifetime. For many, the experience went far beyond learning—it was a profoundly spiritual and emotional journey.
One participant reflected on the impact, saying the camp helped them reconnect with their purpose in life: “I’ll forever remember this camp and the effect it made on me. This was so needed for my spiritual and emotional state. The memories I’ll always cherish, and we all shared so many laughs every day.”
Culture Camps not only fostered cultural understanding and traditional knowledge but also created a space for healing, community building, and joy. As the camp came to a close, participants left with renewed spirits, new friendships, and a stronger sense of belonging.
First Nations University of Canada remains committed to creating opportunities that connect people with Indigenous culture, language, and teachings—ensuring that experiences like these continue to inspire and empower.
