Whether you are a new student pursuing a career goal or a mature student who wants to advance your career, we can find a program that will match your needs.

At the First Nations University of Canada you have the unique opportunity to study in an environment that supports First Nations cultures, languages, and values. Everyone (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) is welcome to participate in and learn through ceremony with Elders as well as through classroom-based experience.

Our courses, programs, and instructors are accredited by the University of Regina and all University of Regina classes are open to FNUniv students.

Application Process

  • All new applicants to the First Nations University of Canada must complete the University of Regina application form (online or paper-based).
  • Although you are applying to the University of Regina, you will select the First Nations University of Canada as your Federated College (select your campus location Regina, Saskatoon, or Prince Albert).
  • You must meet the U of R admission requirements for your program to be accepted.

While we do not admit students directly through the First Nations University of Canada, one of our Academic Advisors would be happy to help you through the application process.

You can select the General Online Application Form that would apply to you. Depending on the form, you may print the application and mail it in to the appropriate office location.

If you have questions about the application process, please email Callie Morris, Recruitment Officer at recruiting@firstnationsuniversity.ca.

Come step into the future with an edge like no other!

Built on the prayers of our Elders
Who envisioned the wings of the Thunderbird
Elevating students higher and higher
To test our resilience
To prove our character
To find spirit
To find our second home
Where people of all colours – all Nations
Are welcome to lay down roots
And walk the indoor and outdoor classrooms
Of one of the oldest
First Nations Post-Secondary education centres in the country
This is the place for which spiritual warriors fought
For this dream to be
An Indigenous University for all.
More than just to learn
We come to be
Whole.
The First Nations University of Canada
Welcomes you all
