CTGT – Specialized Intensive Home Visitor

Position:
This dynamic position involves a wide range of duties, from efficient administrative tasks
to providing personalized support to families. The role is integral in establishing and
maintaining community partnerships and enhancing public relations, shaping the
program’s service delivery. The CTGT Specialized Intensive Support Worker is
responsible for various related activities, ensuring they meet the program’s standards
and embodying both adaptability and thoroughness in service delivery. Their
contributions are vital in advancing our mission, bolstering the program’s image, and
building productive connections with community organizations. This position plays a
pivotal role in the Caring Nest Head Start program, expertly overseeing its daily activities
under the direction of the Head Start Team Lead and Executive Director.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with three years of experience. Experience with
families and young children in a home environment is preferred.
Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently and as part of diverse team.
• Knowledge of social work/human services principles, especially regarding
families with young children.
• Organizational and time management skills
• Assisting with developing teaching plans
• Knowledge of Word, Internet, outlook, including database systems.
• Knowledge of community resources
• Specialized in communications skills and keen listening abilities
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Must have knowledge understanding and sensitivity to Indigenous culture and
traditional parenting practices
• Provide a Criminal Record Check and a vulnerable sector check
• First Aid and CPR certificate
