Syllabics
First Nations University of Canada uses a percentage grading system. Under this system, a grade less than 50% is a failing grade for undergraduate programs.
In addition to the percentage, the university uses the following descriptive codes:

| CW | Compulsory Withdrawal |
| DE | Deferred |
| F | Failure |
| IN | Incomplete |
| IP | In Progress |
| MC | Maintenance Candidacy |
| N | No Credit |
| NP | Not Passed |
| NR | Not Yet Reported |
| P | Pass Standing |
| W | Withdrawal from Courses |
| XF | Academic Misconduct |
