October is Free Application Month for Indigenous Students!

Indigenous students can apply to the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) or the University of Regina (U of R) for free during the month of October.

From October 1–31, 2025, the regular undergraduate application fee will be waived for Indigenous students who self-declare their Indigenous ancestry when applying.

To receive the waiver, simply enter the code INDIGOCT2025 (case-sensitive) when submitting your application through the University of Regina’s online application portal.

This initiative is a great opportunity for future students to explore Indigenous-focused programs, supports, and services available at both FNUniv and the University of Regina. Whether you’re applying for the first time or returning to continue your studies, October is the perfect time to take the next step toward your educational goals.

How to Apply

1. Visit the University of Regina application page.
2. Complete your application between October 1–31, 2025.
3. Self-declare your Indigenous ancestry when prompted.
4. Enter the code INDIGOCT2025 to waive the application fee.
