Transforming Pain into Power with sâkihitowin & âhkamêyimowin: Responding to High-Risk Substance Use Summit

Tuesday, April 28, 8:00 AM to Wednesday, April 29, 7:30 PM

Campus:
Regina

This summit brings together Knowledge Keepers, Elders, students, academics, community leaders, and allies from across Turtle Island.

Grounded in sâkihitowin (love) and âhkamêyimowin (perseverance), this gathering creates space to honour lived experiences, share knowledge, and uplift community-led approaches to addressing high-risk substance use. Through meaningful dialogue, cultural teachings, and collaborative learning, participants will explore pathways toward healing, resilience, and systemic change rooted in Indigenous worldviews.

This summit is more than a conference—it is a sacred space for connection, reflection, and the co-creation of solutions that centre Indigenous knowledge, relationships, and care for one another.
