A Campus-Wide Treat: Halloween Comes to Our University Community

November 5, 2025

When the educators from pamināwasowin Child Care brought our daycare children trick-or-treating through campus this year, we watched their faces light up, reminding us of the significance of this experience.

For our little ones, walking through the university hallways and being greeted by staff in costumes was about more than just collecting candy; it was about belonging. They witnessed people who were excited to see them, taking time to chat and make them feel part of something larger. They experienced a community that truly cares.

Whether it was staff members in costumes handing out treats or offices decorated with Halloween spirit, every interaction reinforced to our children that they matter—that they are valued. The people in our FNUniv community notice them and want to make their day special.

These are the moments that children remember: the feeling of being welcomed, included, and celebrated by the adults around them.

We want to thank everyone across campus who opened their doors and hearts. You gave our children so much more than candy; you provided them with memories and a sense of belonging within our university community.
