Syllabics
On July 21, the Regina Campus welcomed the first-ever All Nations men’s and women’s volleyball teams to our Regina campus. The teams were in Regina for the 2026 Canada Cup Volleyball Competition.
During their visit, the teams toured our campus and participated in a tipi teaching led by our Knowledge Keeper, Dennis Omeasoo, alongside our oskâpêwis (Elder’s Helper), Roland Kaye, from the Elders Office. The teaching provided the teams with an opportunity to learn about the significance of the tipi and the teachings, values, and traditions it represents.
Experiences like these create meaningful opportunities for relationship-building, knowledge sharing, and fostering a deeper understanding of First Nations cultures and ways of knowing.
We sincerely thank the All Nations men’s and women’s volleyball teams for spending part of your day with us. As you compete in the 2026 Canada Cup for the first time, we recognize the significance of this moment and the dedication it represents for all involved.
