On April 19, 2026, Pressbooks has published a textbook titled “Introductory Statistics” co-authored by Dr. Arzu Sardarli, in collaboration with Dr. Andrei Volodin. This publication received support from the University of Regina through its Open Educational Resources Program. This textbook serves as a foundational resource primarily intended for students enrolled in introductory statistics courses at universities. However, it also caters to anyone interested in acquiring a basic understanding of statistics. By integrating statistical theory with practical applications, the text utilizes realistic examples that are rooted in local Saskatchewan contexts.
Additionally, the textbook features insights from Dr. Sardarli’s community-based research projects, which enrich the learning experience. Notably, during the development of this book, Dr. Sardarli conducted interviews with Elders Laurie Waditaka and Lance Russell Singer, further enhancing the cultural relevance of the content.
