Number of Scholarships:
Annual scholarships of either four (4) scholarships of $2,500.00, five (5) scholarships of $2,000.00, or 10 scholarships of $1,000.00, as determined by the Committee.
Field of Study:
Open to entering or continuing students pursuing undergraduate degrees, an academic program that leads to a career in business science or communications
Mininum Credit Hours:
Must be a full-time student registering or registered in a full course load (15 credit hours) for $5,000.00 scholarship.; Must be a full-time student registering or registered in a full course load (12 credit hours) for $1,000.00 scholarship.
Minimum Academic Standing:
Minimum academic average of 65% in the preceding year of study, subject to minimum passing requirement (65% is the minimum amount, with the goal that the higher the scholarship award the higher the average)

Criteria

Candidates must:.

  • be Status Indian, Non-Status Indian, Inuit or Metis registered at FNUniv
  • have resided in Saskatchewan for a minimum of 24 consecutive months preceding the date of application.
  • have achieved a minimum academic average of 65% in the preceding year of study, subject to minimum passing requirement (65% is the minimum amount, with the goal that the higher the scholarship award the higher the average).
  • have enrolled as a full-time student in the current year.
  • demonstrate financial need (if the applicant is band-funded, the maximum scholarship award is $1,000).
  • have submitted a completed Student Consent and Testimonial Form as set out in Exhibit 1.

Candidates may not hold a SaskEnergy Scholarship in conjunction with other scholarships or bursaries exceeding an aggregate total of $7,500, including SaskEnergy Scholarships the student may have received through or from other institutions.
